About News Africa

Who we are, what we cover, how we work and how to reach the newsroom.

Who we are

News Africa is an independent digital news publication based in Nigeria. We report the stories that matter to readers across Africa, and the world news that affects them, in clear and simple language.

What we cover

Africa, World, Business, Sports and People & Culture. Alongside our own stories, our sections show clearly labelled headlines from other news organisations that link to their original reporting.

How we work

Our stories are written and edited by the News Africa newsroom and appear under the News Africa byline. Every story is reviewed by an editor before it is published.

Our newsroom uses AI tools to help research topics and prepare first drafts. Editors check every fact, source and quote before publication, and we credit the news organisations whose reporting we build on.

Read our Editorial standards and Corrections policy for the details.
